New update adds onto the refresh of yesterday with a bit of a cleanup on the style changes and the addition of the Chicago citation style. I'm going to be referring to this part as a beta release, so please be sure to check citation formatting before publication, and comment if you notice any issues!

A new layout has been rolled out - highlights include:

General cleanup - simpler colour scheme.
Less ads means less clutter (please remember though... citationcreation.com is a free service)
Show that you "Like" the site on facebook

There haven't really been any functionality changes except for one or two bugfixes, so hopefully this should be a seamless transition - but please be sure to comment if you notice anything.

Apologies to everyone for the downtime over the last 24 hours. Citationcreation.com has been migrated to a new server and the move took slightly longer than expected - but the service has now returned to normal.

Simpler design - simpler code.
Bug fixes.

A feature that should be implemented soon - customisable citations.

Its been a little while since an update, but soon Citation Creation will be getting a small overhaul in design and functionality in version 1.0. Design wise there's not much to be said - just expect improved accessibility and an easier to navigate layout. On functionality, we should be seeing custom citation formats aswell.

Huge changes to the website. New functions (i've tried to make them unobtrusive, so you can choose whether to use them or not). These features (they have been specifically labelled this on the website) are at a beta level, they are reliable but you should check your results always incase of errors during this phase. NEW STUFF:

Save citations to a list
Export that list to a .doc file
Automatic scrolling down to the results after clicking submit. Handy new feature that helps people with smaller screens.

Edit: Lets call this version 0.7. No new formats just yet, but very soon! Check out the new improved citation creation!

Version 0.6.1.

CitationCreation.com is now at version 0.6.1.
Several small additions, including:

Complete compatibility with most browser's zoom feature (0.6 worked, but produced some undesirable effects).
Removal of "?"'s and "&"'s in url's, all pages are now showing as ".html". For the technically minded, this is thanks to mod_rewrite. This (generally) means that urls are much easier to recognize, by not only yourselves, but major search engines.
Changed look of tooltips and fixed a few spelling errors. You will also get a little tooltip when you click submit (this is mostly just for people with smaller screens who don't notice the results popping up below).

0.7 is around the corner. Harvard, Bluebook and Chicago styles may pop up in there somewhere! :)

First blog post and an announcement: CitationCreation.com version 0.6.

CitationCreation is aimed at being a free to use, online tool for creating citations, all in a simple, easy to use format. The website will open at version 0.6 (beta). This means that we are seeking user-feedback and opinions on performance. We will handle feedback through blogger for the time being, so please post your experience, feedback and opinions here.

At this moment we can recommend the website as a tool for citations, but please keep the version number in mind, and check the citations you create before publishing them in any major work. The tool is pretty robust already, but i'd just like to put that out there anyway.

As a note: This is pretty much just a barebones release to get things going. We have many tools and ideas planned for the website - stay tuned!
